2018 Top 10 Radius Redhanded Apprehensions

With 200 or so apprehensions per year, how do we choose our favourites? It’s a tough call. Sometimes, we hold back vivid, exciting footage because a client asks us to. At other times, clear footage and interesting details make the choice easy. Live arrests and K9 are always popular. Whether due to more clicks on YouTube or our own instincts, here are our top picks for 2018.

Looking at these bad guys get caught in the act makes us feel good. Very good. Enjoy!

1.Prying Thieves - January 7, 2018 (12:54 a.m.)

Two suspects grab some wires from a construction site and try to pry open two shipping containers.

2. Vexing Vandal - January 12, 2018 (11:03 p.m.)

Radius operators spot a vandal kicking and punching a vehicle at an auto dealership. He also climbs onto the hood to rip the wiper blades off, and tries to break in. Police catch him Redhanded.

3. Clever K-9 - January 27, 2018 (11:40 p.m.)

A cyclist snoops around an auto dealership and hides in a shed. It doesn’t take long for a police dog to sniff him out.

4. Litter Bug - April 6, 2018 (1:12 a.m.)

A woman climbs into a large construction dumpster and nearly falls off. Once in, she tosses items everywhere. Police apprehend her and order her to leave.

5. Caught Cutting - April 11, 2018 (6:25 a.m.)

Two suspects snip through a fence surrounding an outdoor storage facility. Notified by Radius, officers confiscate their belongings and lead them handcuffed to the police van.

6. Masked Meddlers - May 12, 2018 (5:10 a.m.)

A couple rifle through vehicles at an auto dealership. They exit through a hole in the fence. But not fast enough to escape handcuffs.

7. Cops and Copper - May 20, 2018 (4:21 p.m.)

A suspect takes copper wire and attempts to break into a shipping container using a bolt cutter. When police arrive, he flees to meet his partner. Radius operators direct officers to them and both are apprehended (off camera).

8. Crazy Crane Caper - July 14, 2018 (9:46 p.m.)

A shirtless man explores a construction site and climbs a crane. Police, with the help of fire and rescue services, persuade him to slide down. They spray the apparently unconscious suspect with a hose and take him away on a stretcher.

9. Secret Stash – September 26, 2018 (11:19 p.m.)

Radius cameras spot three males with flashlights outside an auto dealership. Two wear Soldiers of Odin apparel and one appears to carry a weapon on his belt. They retrieve a bag and exit as several police units arrive. The suspects are later apprehended (off camera) at a traffic stop.

10. Triple Threat - November 24, 2018 (12:29 a.m.)

Three intruders take items from a construction site and stack them along the fence line. One suspect playing lookout on the street is arrested. Several officers, including a K9 unit, apprehend his partners in crime on site. The trio appear headed for jail.
